Bits and Bobs Zine - Issue #1 Feb 2025

Welcome to the Bits and Bobs zine! This is a monthly zine containing random bits and bobs of TTRPG content. From battlemaps and new monsters to advice about being a GM and character writing, we've got anything and everything you can think of. This is (currently) a solo project that I plan to release monthly. 

Hi! My name is KJ, and I'm the author, illustrator, and creator of the Bits and Bobs zine. I've been playing TTRPGs for about a decade and I've been GMing for a few years now. My passion is maps and writing campaigns, and I'm using this zine as a place to put random odds and ends I think up. 

In this issue: 

- Battle map of a path through a desert canyon 

- Written encounter for the above map featuring bandits and pet vultures dropping things on the party

- 2 homemade magic items: Clogs of Wood Walking and the Sword of Stationery

- A random npc table to roll on along with a sample npc based on the table

- New monster and statblock: The Blink Chicken

- Some advice about sustainable GMing
